Trap
Trap fields, trap houses, league nights, and range safety follow club policies and
range officer direction.
We have six trap ranges. The clubhouse is open on Monday nights unless other
events are scheduled and posted in the announcement banner or on the club’s
calendar. Please buy your ticket or card before you
shoot.
Skeet
Skeet setup, operating procedures, and any posted restrictions apply at all times.
Hays City Sportsmen’s Club currently has two skeet fields that are open on
Thursday evenings. Skeet leagues are held three times a year. The skeet field also
has five-stand capability.
Blacklight shooting
Set up similar to five-stand using blacklights with green, pink, and orange targets.
Cost is $10 per round of 25 targets. Check the calendar
for upcoming dates.
Pistol range
Two pistol ranges: one open area with knock-down plates at 25 yards, and one with
three bays separated by 10-inch concrete walls with knock-down plates.
We have two pistol ranges for your use. The west range and the new concrete east
range are for members. The center range is for police use only. There are metal
falling-plate targets and boards to hold your paper targets, along with a bowling
pin table. If you bring your own targets, please dispose of them when you are done.
The pistol ranges are open every day to members during daylight hours, as long as
the city crew is not working on the property and there are no scheduled pistol
shoots.

This is a great place to sight your rifle.
